What's the difference between our Pro-Med Solutions and Dragon Medical Solutions?

When Dragon NaturallySpeaking was originally developed. There were no industry specific vocabularies. Many companies started developing vocabularies for legal, medical and other professions. As time went on, Dragon created General Medical and General Legal vocabularies because of the great demand of those systems. However, in the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Pro and Medical Solutions, there have always been vocabulary tools to build and customize your vocabulary in order to acheive the highest accuracy. Every user of voice recognition software must build a custom vocabulary in order to get high accuracy.

Dragon Medical Solutions comes with 5 specialty vocabularies. This includes general medicine, pathology, radiology, cardiology and general surgery.

Our Pro-Med Solutions come with 26 specialty vocabularies. Our Pro-Med solutions also come with pre-configured HCFA compliant templates and AMA compliant macros.

What if I have an accent?
Accents are fine, but you must be able speak english fairly well. You have to pronounce all of the syllables of your words and not speak too quickly. As you continue to use the system, you can start dictating more quickly and correcting as you go along until you reach a comfortable threshold between speed and accuracy. This may take some time but with time, patience and proper correction, you should be able to get in the upper ninety percentile accuracy.

Would it be better to get both Dragon Medical Solutions with Pro-Med?
We do not believe this increases your accuracy any. May vary with different specialties. With either system, we expect you to get high accuracy right from the start. We suggest you save your money and invest in other things such as more RAM in your computer.
